Michelle Nie
Investment Manager
プロフィール
Having spent more time than most in online spaces from a young age, Michelle has seen emerging consumer trends firsthand with the next generations. As a result, she developed an interest in how technology and anthropology intersect. At DCM, Michelle is excited about founders building platforms - spanning consumer, enterprise and digital health - to address Gen Z and beyond.
Prior to joining DCM, Michelle was a Senior Associate on the venture team at Norwest, a seed to growth stage fund. At Norwest, she helped lead investments in a stealth generative AI startup, Faire, Homeward and Tempo, among others, as well as worked closely with portfolio companies such as Pair Eyewear and Calm. Before venture, Michelle was an investment banking analyst in Morgan Stanley's Global Technology Group where she helped lead deals such as DocuSign's IPO.
An East Coast native, Michelle acclimated quickly to the Bay Area's temperate climate, though she does occasionally miss Maryland's crab cakes. She has carried with her a love of creative pursuits including dancing, creative writing and piano, which she enjoys when not caught up in the latest RPG.
