About

Keiko is committed to leading in-depth industry/sector research in Japan and managing a seed investment program called DCM Atlas, leveraging her financial analyzing skills nurtured in the financial industry and her strong intellectual curiosity towards businesses. Based on her own experience as an athlete and an investment banker in the manufacturing industry, she is particularly interested in the sports tech area to support athletes, and the decarbonization technologies in manufacturing industries.

Prior to DCM, Keiko was a senior associate at HIRAC FUND, a corporate venture capital of Money Forward, where she has been committed to investment research, investment deal execution including due diligence and contract negotiation, and IPO related advisory including equity story development. Before then, she was an investment banker at UBS, leading M&A and capital management related projects mainly in the manufacturing sector. Through M&A transactions, she has nurtured modeling, PMI advisory and negotiation skills in due diligence. In addition, she has been involved in a defense advisory on large activism deals, mainly assisting in the development of equity story.

Keiko started alpine skiing at the age of 3 and was a certified athlete of Ski Association of Tokyo for 6 years from 2012 and competed in the continental race called Far East Cup when she was in university. Through her experience as an athlete, she stepped into the financial industry to learn about business mechanisms and financial dynamisms to create an efficient financing environment in minor sports that allows athletes to focus on competition and achieve their true potential. On weekends, she enjoys outdoor sports, especially skiing and futsal. She loves watching sports and is also an Olympic geek.
