Leonard approaches problems with first-principles thinking, partnering with founders to break down complex problems and reimagine solutions. At DCM, he focuses on emerging technologies with the potential to reshape industries, primarily AI and smart hardware.
Before joining DCM, Leonard was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group, where he advised TMT and Consumer Goods companies on growth and digital strategy. Earlier in his career, he worked across the tech stack, from venture investing at Granite Asia, to product management at Tencent, to software engineering at 4Paradigm. He also co-founded a game studio, where he led a 10-person team in developing a card-based RPG, gaining direct experience in developing a product end-to-end with a small, fast-moving team.
Outside of work, Leonard is an avid history reader, enjoys bartending as a creative outlet, and trains in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), a niche pursuit that combines historical study with physical discipline.
