Sara Wei 魏萌
Sara believes technology will redefine people’s lifestyles. She’d love to be part of this amazing trend by helping hi-tech startups. At DCM, Sara focuses on consumer internet, O2O services, and mobile apps targeting the younger generation. Her consulting background has sharpened her analytical skills, while startup experiences equipped her with an entrepreneurial mindset. Sara also brings a fresh perspective of younger consumers, and keeps the team updated about startups in this field. Moreover, Sara is committed to building a support network for entrepreneurs, from initiating panel discussions, to hunting for talent for portfolio companies.
Starting her career in Accenture as a consultant, Sara covered sectors ranging from TMT to FMCG, and focused on marketing and operations consulting. She was highly recognized for once leading a 3-month-delayed module out of crisis. Later, Sara joined PPZUCHE, a leading peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace. She built up its marketing functions, from user acquisition to community management. As the youngest member on the management committee, Sara directly drove strategic decisions together with the team.
Living up to the belief "curiosity takes you everywhere", Sara is a scuba diver, snowboarder, postcard designer, amateur painter, and theater lover. She seeks adventures, and once hitchhiked 1200 kilometers from Shanghai to Beijing. Besides being committed to social innovation for years, Sara is also a fellow in Harvard SEED Leadership Program.
